Sycamore Spa’s seamless spaces blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, welcoming natural sunlight and coastal breezes to apture Laguna's powerful healing nature.

    • The Fitness Center at Sycamore Spa features men and women's changing rooms, free weights and Technogym's Unity personal fitness experience-enabled treadmills and elliptical machines. The Unity System interfaces with the “My Wellness Cloud,” providing the most advanced virtual training system available.
    • While exercising, users can select from a variety of virtual outdoor scenery backdrops to train against. Guests can also choose from a list of favorite apps, websites and TV Channels, music, local weather forecasts, news and more on our HD screens.
    • The Fitness Center is complimentary for resort guests and available 24 hours a day.

  • Ben Brown's Golf Course

    Our 9-hole Laguna golf course and country club in Southern California is situated in what is arguably the most serene and natural setting in Orange County. The course is carved into the naturally dramatic and lush walls of Aliso and Wood Canyons, creating an ultra-private playing experience with stunning views and elevation changes on every fairway.

    • Beach Access: Aliso Beach Park was ranked as the 2nd best beach in California and the 19th best beach in the United States for families by Parents Magazine in 2011 and is the only Beach in Laguna Beach with fire pits. Also, Aliso Beach Park hosts the annual Victoria Skimboards World Championship of Skimboarding, the longest running contest on the professional circuit.   • History

    Rich in history, the legacy of this land is distinctive, appreciated and showcased throughout the resort. As you stroll the grounds, the history comes alive through historic site plaques, old photo displays and an organic garden where we grow our interpretation of the famous Thurston melons. Our partnerships with Laguna Beach conservation groups provide a wide array of programs to expose, unlock and reveal all that is Laguna.

    1871 George and Sarah Thurston lay claim to a 152-acre homestead and one-room wood shack
    1940s William "Bill" Bryant purchases an 87-acre site within Aliso Canyon and begins construction on the golf course
    1950 The 9-hole golf course is established as "Laguna Beach Country Club"
    1956 Ben and Violet Brown purchase the golf course and make plans for a destination resort
    1963 The "Laguna Beach Country Club and Village" is introduced
    1967 Ben Brown's Restaurant and a new Golf Shop open
    1970 The property is renamed "Ben Brown's Motel & Golf Course"
    1978 The name changes to Aliso Creek Inn & Golf Course
    2003 The inn is purchased by Aliso Creek Properties retaining it's former name
    2014 The Ranch at Laguna Beach arrives
