Last week I told you how to use up an excess of tomatoes from your garden by making tomato sauce. Then the heat wave came. As I picked through my garden sweating and cursing the heat it dawned on me that the last place I would want to be is standing over a hot stove top stirring tomato sauce. I immediately thought about what to do with tomatoes that does not require heating up the stove. Gazpacho, my favorite chilled soup came to mind.
